Gerald Stoll has been with Lufthansa since November 2002. He is responsible for Lufthansa’s IT-infrastructure strategy. Within a renewal of the infrastructure outsourcing strategy, the implementation of a “cloud-first” initiative and the redesign of the network structure using SD-WAN technology are the key initiatives. Prior to that, Gerald implemented an off-shore test-factory and was responsible for service-, account- and product-management for infrastructure services where he also implemented a near-shore IT-operation center. Prior to joining Lufthansa, Gerald spent 5 years as head of product management B2C for telephony & internet products at tesion Telekommunikation GmbH in Stuttgart as well as 3 years at CompuServe Germany in Munich, where he implemented the first localized internet and legacy online products. He started his professional career in 1990 working for 4 years as chief scientist and head of teleseismic group at the Geophysical Institute of University Karlsruhe. He holds a diploma in Geophysics from University of Karlsruhe.
