In this presentation, we introduce a new capability model for enterprise architecture management. To bring this model to life, we showcase its practical application within the aviation industry.
In the first part of the presentation, the need for a capability model in the practice of large enterprises and their constantly changing environment is motivated. In the second part, the capability model and its dimensions are described in detail. In the third part, we illustrate the application of the capability model with four use cases. We conclude the presentation with a summary and an outlook on future work.
For nearly 20 years, I have been a practitioner, speaker, author, and university lecturer in the field of Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM). After studying amongst other at the University of California, I worked at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), as a senior enterprise architect in the finance industry, and since 2018 at Lufthansa as a group-wide senior enterprise architect. In parallel, I lecture at the University of Hannover on EAM. You can find some my 40+ publications and 30+ speeches on www.eamfundamentals.com.
